How We Generated 120+ Leads in 5 Months Through Website Redesign and SEO

One of the biggest myths in business is that having a website means people can find you online.
Unfortunately, that's not how Google works.
A few months ago, we started working with a board-certified clinical psychologist specialising in ADHD, autism, and learning disorder assessments. The practice had a website that had been online for years, but there was one major problem: almost nobody was finding it through Google.
The services were in demand. People were actively searching for assessments every day. The expertise was there. But when we reviewed the website, it became clear that the site had almost no SEO foundation. It wasn't targeting the right keywords, the page structure was weak, and Google had very little understanding of what the business actually specialised in. Simply put, the website existed, but it wasn't competing for the searches that mattered.

Why a Website Alone Doesn't Generate Leads
Many business owners launch a website and assume enquiries will follow. In reality, a website without SEO is a bit like opening a shop in the middle of a forest. The shop might look great, but if nobody knows it's there, nobody walks through the door.
That was exactly the situation here. The website wasn't generating leads because potential clients couldn't easily find it. Even when somebody did land on the site, the design and user experience weren't helping to build trust. The business was relying heavily on referrals rather than organic search, which meant a huge opportunity was being missed every month.

Building a Website That Google and Visitors Could Understand
Before starting SEO, we redesigned the website using Wix Studio. Not because design alone generates leads, but because we wanted a stronger foundation to build on. We improved the structure, simplified navigation, clarified the services, and made it much easier for both visitors and search engines to understand what the practice offered.
For healthcare businesses, trust is critical. Visitors need reassurance that they're dealing with a qualified professional. The redesign helped communicate that expertise more clearly, while also giving us a much stronger platform for SEO.

Five Months of SEO Changed Everything
Once the new website was live, we focused entirely on SEO. We researched how people search for ADHD assessments, autism assessments, and related services, then optimised the website around those searches. We improved page content, metadata, internal linking, technical SEO, and overall site structure.
Nothing dramatic happened overnight. But month after month, visibility improved. More pages started ranking. More impressions appeared in Google Search Console. More qualified visitors landed on the website. Most importantly, more enquiries started arriving.

From Almost Invisible to 120+ Enquiries
Five months later, the website had generated more than 120 enquiries through the contact form alone. No Google Ads were running. No social media campaigns were driving traffic. The growth came from people actively searching on Google and finding the practice for the first time.
The most interesting part is that the service itself never changed. The demand was already there before we started. What changed was visibility. Once the website became visible to the people already searching for these services, the enquiries followed naturally.
That's why we often tell clients that the goal isn't simply to build a website. The goal is to build a website that can actually be found.
